LONDON, June 9, 2020 — QS Quacquarelli Symonds, global higher education analysts, have just released the seventeenth edition of the QS World University Rankings. QS World University Rankings are the world’s most-consulted, most-covered source of comparative information about university performance.

The rankings have placed 26 Asian universities among the global top 100 — the highest number ever.

Ben Sowter, QS Director of Research, said: “The American higher education hegemony continues to diminish in the face of increasing competitiveness across the world: competitiveness driven by strategic funding, internationalization efforts, and strong links between education and industry.”

QS bases its World University Rankings on Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per Faculty, Faculty/Student Ratio, International Faculty Ratio, and International Student Ratio.
